Our ASAPP dancers are ready to shine!
On Tuesday morning, June 3, the students of 75th Street Elementary will take the stage for their Spring Dance Recital, a high-energy celebration of creativity, culture, and confidence. This is the highlight of our program—a chance for students to show what they’ve learned and created through weeks of dedicated after-school practice.
With choreography by Jan Geter-Roberson and original student-created pieces, the recital will feature a vibrant mix of jazz, modern, and hip hop dance. It’s more than just a performance—it's a moment of pride for the students, a source of joy for their families, and an inspiration to their classmates.
Although this event is not open to the public, it is a treasured part of the school community. Families are invited, teachers cheer from the sidelines, and students beam with pride as they perform in front of their peers. Every year, this recital sparks excitement and interest from other students who can’t wait to join the program next time.
At ASAPP, performance is the heart of what we do—building confidence, discipline, and a sense of accomplishment that students carry with them long after the music stops.

ASAPP Performs at the 2025 LAUSD Arts Festival

We’re proud to share that our ASAPP dancers from 75th Street Elementary had the incredible opportunity to perform at the LAUSD Arts Festival on Saturday, May 3, 2025! Held at the iconic Music Center Plaza in Downtown Los Angeles, the festival celebrated student creativity across the district—and ASAPP was honored to be part of it.
Our students brought their best to the stage with a high-energy performance showcasing their work in jazz, modern, and hip hop dance. Choreographed by Jan Geter-Roberson with creative input from the students themselves, the routine was a powerful example of what young performers can accomplish when given space to express themselves through the arts.
It was a proud moment for our dancers, their families, and the entire school community. Performing at a citywide event gave the students a glimpse of what’s possible beyond the classroom—and reaffirmed our mission to empower young people through performance and cultural pride.
